Objective:
This is a beginners' learning programme. It is designed in such a way to impart basic skill of shield metal Arc Welding. And it perfectly combines the theoretical and practical aspects of structural welding. A candidate who successesfully completes this course will be able to perform bridge code welding and other related structural works. This course also helps a student to develop the essential skills to produce quality multi-pass groove welding in 12 mm thick plate in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. This course adds to the skills to produce quality in Multi pass welding on 6" diameter schedule 80 mild steel pipe in the 6G position using E6013, E 6010 and E 7018 electrodes.
